Vice President, Communications

Description TBC Corporation is searching for a Vice President, Communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the necessary strategic thinking to build and drive a successful enterprise-wide communications strategy that is in line with the company's strategic vision and increases value and engagement of all TBC Associates. This professional will work collaboratively with all department and functional leaders as well as other internal teams to identify gaps, opportunities and assess communications needs as it relates to the overall enterprise and it's stated mission, vision and values of the company. Job Responsibilities Creates, implements and oversees strategic direction and leadership for the organization's communication programs and its products. Provides supervision and direction to staff. Works with cross functional teams to develop and execute the communications strategic plan. Coordinates and aligns communications plans with business and brand strategies. Responsible for researching, writing and editing complex corporate messages, news releases, marketing materials, employee communications, web content and social media. Works on communication efforts supporting the business unit including internal and external messaging, employee hiring materials, presentations on project status and plans, and coordinates efforts among various departments. Supports CEO and other executives, serving as a writer for leadership messages, including script writing. Measures and analyzes communications program effectiveness and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Manages employee communications projects including employee Intranet. Qualifications Experience in both external (public/media relations) and internal (employee communications). Integrated communications campaign development and management. Flexibility to travel, if needed. Able to demonstrate strategic thinking competencies and develop and implement tactics to achieve organizational goals, and utilizes the necessary resources to accomplish those goals Excellent oral and written communication skills with a firm command of proper grammar usage.
