Position
Summary:
Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will leverage his/her knowledge in a broad array of HR competencies to provide analytical and logistical support to the effective and efficient operation of the company's Human Resources department.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of HR professional growth as well as working experience/professional expertise in at least three of the following areas:
hiring and onboarding, talent acquisitions, benefits and payroll administration, policy configuration and implementation, diversity and inclusivity, people analytics and benchmarking, compliance and statutory reporting, and/or coaching and career pathway development.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Collaborate with HR team members to execute day-to-day tasks supporting all functional areas in the Human Resources department, including new hire orientation and onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, recruitment, employee engagement, HR file maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
New hire orientation and onboarding coordinator:
specialize in enhancing the new hire experience with all interactions with new employees and contractors.
Perform background checks, provide guidance for completing new hire paperwork, conduct orientation presentations, and follow-up with new hire and supervisor to facilitate acclimation to company culture.
Identify and ensure compliance of employee files per national and state regulations.
Benefits administration point person.
Initiate benefits enrollment in the corresponding benefit portals.
Assist employees with navigating our benefit systems.
Assist with open enrollment coordination and education on employee benefit programs.
Payroll administration lead.
Administer semi-monthly payroll processes, including but not limited to time and labor accuracy verification; process employment-related and compensation changes in Paylocity payroll system; process deductions and garnishments; and execute all other payroll processing duties as required.
Collaborate with HR team and management to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies.
Assist with policy creation and implementation.
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
Interfaces with all levels of the organization (including executives, managers, and staff).
Act as Human Resources department liaison to employees and HR third-party vendors regarding inquiries, requests, and resolve all issues with the highest level of customer service.
Interfaces with Accounting and Finance department with processing and reconciling HR-related expenditures.
Maintain all HR systems and databases; update promptly and accurately.
Assist with maintaining employee personnel records.
Provide logistical and administrative support to the HR Director.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Comply with all company policies, HR profession standard operating procedures, and all federal, state, and local laws.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.

years of experience in human resources required.
2
years of experience as a HR Generalist required.
5
years of experience working in Microsoft Suite required.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft office equipment and software including Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
Minimum of 1 year working experience in Excel mandatory.
Experience and proficiency with payroll processing procedures and systems strongly desired.
Experience working in the Paylocity system preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
Must be fluent, both oral and written.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Ability to interface well with all levels of the organization (including executives, managers, and staff) in a highly professional manner.
Strong project coordination, organizational, time management, and prioritization skill with attention to details.
Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information concerning the organization.
SHRM or HRCI certification strongly desired.
Basic accounting skills a plus.
