1 Quick Apply Full-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description Summary Objective Under general supervision, this position involves the collection, management, and analysis of crime, calls for service, and other data to find crime trends, pattern series, hot spots, and other crime problems.
The analyst disseminates this information to the department (through bulletins and reports) and assists, if necessary, in developing strategies to address identified problems.
Responsible for insuring that the Florida Uniform Crime Report (UCR) is accurate and submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as described.
A written Civil Service Examination is required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requires a Bachelor's Degree in police science, criminology, mathematics, statistics, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
Requires a year of experience in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of police data and writing reports that indicate relationships between various parties, or an equivalent combination of education, training and, experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and, abilities.
This position requires the successful passing of a background check and drug screening.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
