General Manager Job
Summary:
Responsible for assisting in planning, directing, and coordinating all operations and personnel management.
Ultimately responsible for managing the restaurant.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Monitor all restaurant operations and conditions to ensure the quality of the product and guest services.
Monitor job performance; food and labor costs, budgets, and sales; labor payroll sheets.
Complete knowledge of all expectations of the Manager position.
Effective coaching/counseling.
Manages HR issues.
SNAG compliance.
Payroll processing.
Trains and mentors Managers.
Deliver team player annual reviews.
Orientation of all new staff.
Responsible for all FOH training.
P&L involvement.
Understand General Ledger.
Knowledge of accounts/approved vendors.
Bar management.
Liquor inventory.
Maintain budgeted food and beverage cost.
Involved in increasing bar sales.
Produce cost effective specials.
Liquor ordering.
Handle cash transactions, comps, or voids, and amounts of cash in drawers.
Enter all invoices.
Create bartender schedules.
Keep marketing material current.
Menu spec compliance.
Knowledge of Health Inspections.
Understand the Ecosure goals.
Display good judgement.
