Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, premises, and property within a designated area.
They enforce security measures, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents to maintain a secure environment.
The Security Guard will work on-site at our storage facility supervising all assets on our premises Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Security Monitoring:
Maintain a vigilant presence by conducting patrols, and observing activities to identify and prevent potential security threats or breaches.
2.
Access Control:
Control and monitor access points, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas, by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor logs.
3.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, or alarms, and take appropriate actions to resolve or report them, including contacting emergency services when necessary.
4.
Crowd Control:
Manage crowds and maintain order during public events, ensuring the safety of attendees and preventing unauthorized access or disruptive behavior.
5.
Security Checks:
Conduct routine inspections of premises, including buildings, parking lots, and perimeter fences, to detect and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions.
6.
Report Writing:
Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other security-related documentation to maintain a record of events and actions taken.
7.
Emergency Preparedness:
Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and participate in drills or training exercises to ensure readiness.
8.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, addressing inquiries or concerns, and directing them to the appropriate personnel or location.

Safety Compliance:
Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures Qualifications and Skills:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2.
Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
3.
Strong observation and surveillance skills to identify potential security issues.
4.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
5.
Physical fitness and stamina to conduct patrols and respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies.
6.
Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response techniques.
7.
Familiarity with security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
8.
Basic computer skills to operate security-related software and prepare reports.
9.
Strong integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
10.
Valid security guard license or certification (varies by jurisdiction).
