Summary The operations manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and includes supervision of Mental health care services (MHT'S), kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance services.
This position ensures that the organization meets all environment of care and life safety requirements including routine inspections, fire suppression systems monitoring, and routine and scheduled maintenance.
This position works closely with all other departments to ensure that clients are treated in a clean, safe, and well-organized facility.
Job Requirements Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility including safety, environment of care, maintenance, housekeeping, and food and nutrition services.
Responsible for ensuring that the facility meets all licensing and regulatory requirements related to 65D30 including annual fire, safety, and group care inspections.
Responsible for ensuring facility meets all requirements related to Joint Commission certification including Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management chapters.
Responsible for ensuring that organization complies with all aspect of care, treatment, and or services as outlined in the facility annual plans including, but not limited to, Emergency Management, Environment of Care, Life Safety, Performance Improvement, Plan for the Provision of Care, Diversion Control, and Community Relations.
Responsible for managing the facility's assigned budget in a manner that minimizes expenditures and maximizes productivity.
Works with leadership to identify capital budget needs and opportunities for maintenance and repair.
Responsible for completing monthly safety and environment of care inspections.
Responsible for collaborating with the clinical department to ensure the provision of safe and effective treatment including implementation of AMA blocking protocols and other required interventions.
Responsible for ensuring that clients are served three meals per day, two snacks, and have access to other food service items.
Ensures that a process is in place to ensure that clients receive special needs diets.
Works with the compliance department to ensure that all licenses, permits, and certificates are up to date and posted as required.
Ensures that staff under his/her supervision is familiar with key policies and procedures.
Ensures that staff under his/her supervision completes initial, annual, and other training as required.
Responsible for identifying, managing, and supervising facility operation staffing needs.
Responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely payroll is completed and submitted.
Responsible for ensuring operations department manages client admission and discharge process in a timely and effective manner.
Responsible for ensuring that a strong and effective search process is in place which minimizes contraband while maintaining safety and protecting the dignity of the client.
Responsible for coordinating with the transportation department to meet client outside visit, appointments, and discharge needs.
Responsible for ensuring a strong and effective process for managing incoming and outgoing mail.
Works with admissions, finance, utilization review and billing services to ensure that services are provided as required and billing is completed as needed.
Fosters teamwork and organizational structures to improve communication among staff and department.
Manages, completes, and supports organization process related to Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Other duties as assigned to address operational needs.
Educational Background and
Experience:
Minimum requirements for this position is an associate's degree.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree will be given priority.
Minimum of two to four years progressive managerial experience in facility operations in substance abuse treatment, mental health, or health care services.
Experience as a MHT supervisor or lead MHT preferred.
Must pass Level II background check (AHCA) CPR - Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
