This individual will rotate between campuses and be expected to learn the school's community members.
Ideally, qualified applicants will have prior law enforcement experience, obtain/ possess a Florida Security Officer's (Class D) license and a Statewide Firearm's (Class G) license.
Duties and Responsibilities Assist with student drop off/pick up procedures.
Ensure all exterior points of entry remain closed and secured.
Assist in Emergency Preparedness drills.
Rotate responsibilities between upper and lower campuses.
Ensure physical security of all school property via school security cameras and active patrols.
Monitor and control all on-campus vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Provide security coverage of after school events as directed.
Oversee pedestrian/student movements between the main building, gymnasium, sports fields, etc.
Maintain communication and act as a liaison with local authorities and school officials.
Qualifications Ability to acquire or possess and maintain a Florida Class D and G licenses.
Previous law enforcement experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Compensation/Benefits Salary commensurate with experience.
