Mangonia Park, FL Mangonia Park, FL Full-time Full-time From $41,250 a year From $41,250 a year Job description MUST BE A REGISTERED INTERN Job description To work as part of the school-based behavioral health team providing evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, intervention, treatment, case management, and recovery services to students with one or more mental health or co-occurring substance abuse diagnoses and students at high risk of such diagnosis, including coordination of such services with other providers involved in the student's care.
Job Responsibilities and Standards for Measuring Performance:
1.
Provide the agency and district approved multi-tiered continuum of evidence-based behavioral health services to students and families at an assigned school designed to increase student health and wellbeing and decrease violence including:
a.
Assessment:
Conduct approved behavioral health screenings and comprehensive assessments to students and families referred from School Based and Child Study teams and other district/school processes, resulting in a report with recommendations; b.
Diagnosis:
Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5) to accurately diagnose students with or at risk for behavioral health disorders; c.
Intervention:
Provide Tier 2 environmental, prevention, and brief intervention (including crisis management) strategies to enhance student wellbeing and prevent violence; d.
Treatment:
Provide Tier 3 individual and family behavioral health treatment for students with a diagnosed behavioral health disorder; e.
Case Management:
Provide care coordination and advocacy activities on behalf of students, including collaborating with the student's family, school staff, primary care physician, community providers, and others involved in promoting the student's safety and wellbeing; and f.
Recovery Support:
Ensure students and families served maintain stability by evaluating and reporting on required outcomes including academic performance, positive behavioral changes, decreased disciplinary referrals, improved coping skills, and improved relationships and rapport building.

Meet programmatic and contractual outcomes as defined in the Annual School-Based Behavioral Health Program Agreement.

3.
Complete all administrative paperwork timely and accurately, including time sheets, program outcome/placement forms, and reports 4.
Record all client and activity documentation in the client's record and/or databases within 24 hours of the time of service.
5.
Actively participate in the School Based Team, Child Study Team, and other committees designed to address district/school processes.
6.
Document and Maintain all client files in accordance with agency, district, state, federal and CARF guidelines.
7.
Complete and review all student/client care plans in accordance with agency requirements.
8.
Actively participate in all compliance and quality improvement processes as directed by management.
9.
Attend all staff meetings as requested by Program Supervisor.
