This skilled multi-tasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking and packing activities of the warehouse ensuring that high quality standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean warehouse space Manage inventory and stock checks Prepare warehouse and staff for incoming shipments Pack and ship orders (product, furniture, art) Inspect items upon pick up and receipt at Warehouse and document condition Report damages and assist in getting items repaired or restored Regular maintenance of antique furniture (polishing, waxing) Build relationships with local workrooms and communicate purchase/work order needs Manage inventory in Shopify and create transfers for events, the Palm Beach showroom and Atelier Manage current warehouse employee and asses need to hire additional staff Order supplies Photograph items as needed Required Skills and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent 3
years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal Antique and vintage furniture maintenance and moving Art handling Packing of fragile products Ability to consistently lift and mobilize furniture and accessories in excess of 100 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelines Ability to maneuver effectively around sales floor, stockroom and loading docks Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing Proficient with computers Shipping domestic & international with UPS, DHL, FedEx Experience with customs paperwork Shopify and/or shipstation experience is a plus
