Troubleshoots problems through analysis, testing, and discussion with staff members on the phone or in person.
Coordinates with other team members to resolve problems.
Assists with the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Ensures problem resolution and develops supporting documentation.
Assists with the deployment of computers for use across the organization.
Essential Functions Utilize ticketing system to log, track, and document support requests, as well as their solutions, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Process inbound service requests to problem resolution in accordance with issue severity and established service level agreements.
Verify and troubleshoot all Tier I type problems to include interaction with internal and external escalation resources to resolve complex technical issues.
Assist with maintenance of documentation and procedures.
Record changes to the infrastructure in accordance with proper change management procedures.
Schedules and performs routine and preventive maintenance.
Maintain computer equipment inventory Effectively communicates customer issues and concerns to all applicable internal staff members.
Installs, configures, tests and maintains end-user computer equipment.
Coordinate with IT vendors as appropriate for escalation of technical and telephone issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge and basic understanding of operating systems.
Knowledge of various types of computer hardware and peripheral equipment.
Ability to perform software installations.
Ability to isolate and resolve hardware and software problems.
Ability to understand and carry out complicated written and oral instructions.
Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or an equivalent.
One year of help desk experience.
Basic understanding of computer technology and IT support.
Experience in customer service ideally gained in a customer facing environment.
