The Director of Billing and Collections is responsible for accurate and timely submission to third party commercial carriers and intermediaries according to facility, state, federal and payer guidelines.
The position will also be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of our Revenue Cycle Management department, ensuring the company has proper systems/technology, policies and processes, metrics, goals and reporting to ensure the efficient operations of the company.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as our Director of Billing and Collections.
ESSENTIAL ROLES &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of claim to third party commercial carriers and intermediaries according to facility, state, federal and payer guidelines.
Responsible to gather and review data for billing and ensure that data is correct prior to entering into system.
Responsible to accurately post insurance and other receipts to patients account ensuring that receipts are posted correctly and balanced daily.
Responsible to update physician schedule and generate patient billing tickets daily.
Claims follow up.
Appeals, denials, single case agreements.
Determination of EOB denials.
Pulling supporting data from patient charts and billing system, and work with insurance companies to resolve issues.
Assisting with posting insurance payment, denials and adjustments.
Reviewing accounts receivable and follow-up with patients and insurance companies on outstanding balances.
Provide support to accounting manager on billing and collection issues.
Essential duties include the ability to gather, review, and enter data accurately, must be detail oriented, have good communication skills and good organizational skills.
Complies with facility policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records; and of facility proprietary, privileged, and/or confidential information.
Completes daily tasks as assigned and documents the delivery of all patient services.
Performs all other tasks as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 year's experience in Behavioral Health Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline of account billing, receipt posting, and collections Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
Must be 18
