Responsibilities include:
Prepares and manages the preparation of a broad range of individual, corporate, and other entity tax returns
Reviews prior year tax returns and work papers for understanding; ensures assigned staff are aware of issues related to the engagement
Identifies, resolves, and documents technical issues of high complexity; assists lower-level associates with resolution of issues
Identifies changes in laws, regulations, or client situations that may require a change in approach or methodology for the client
Ensures client files are complete, properly cross-referenced and memos exist for all positions taken
Has primary responsibility for several, generally smaller, clients
Plans and organizes client assignments following best practices; delegates work to assigned associates
Directs and monitors the work of associates, following up to ensure work is performed to standards
Conducts detail review of moderate to complex returns, including consolidated and multi-state returns as well as foreign transactions
Manages assigned client projects, ensuring deadlines are met and returns and other documentation filed on time
Reviews work in progress and prepares bills; communicates with clients regarding billing status
Manages client relationships and participates in marketing initiatives
Maintains client relationship during non-engagement periods
Participates, in a leadership role, in the activities of relevant professional and community groups; builds a network of current and potential clients
Demonstrates success at identifying cross-selling opportunities at current clients
Demonstrates ability to generate business with new clients
Job Requirements
Possesses a Bachelors Degree with a major in accounting or a related field and has received the CPA certification
Has at least two years experience at the Senior Associate level
Has identified a specialty area and has developed expertise through education and attendance at seminars, conferences, etc.
Demonstrates full understanding of accounting functions and practices
Proficient in tax research, including the ability to train and mentor assigned staff in the process of finding answers to common tax problems in the Code and case lawEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
