Work Opportunities Unlimited, a human services organization, is looking for an energetic individual to join our Career Services Team in the West Palm Beach area as an Employment Specialist. Part or Full time position available.
Our Employment Specialists handle a variety of roles: helping clients develop career goals, teaching pre-vocational and job retention skills, providing life skills training, and coaching our clients to help them maximize success.
Candidates MUST have a VALID Florida Driver's License, registration, and insurance to be considered.
This position also requires networking within the community, generating and cultivating strong relationships with local businesses and developing partnerships with employers to secure community-based, long-term employment for our diverse roster of clients. This candidate will support adults and individuals with disabilities. BA required or 4
years in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation programs
Requirements for the Employment Placement Specialist:
Skilled in building close-knit relationships and trust with others
Community-driven focus
Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
Success in a sales environment, preferably in the sales of a service
Strong verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
Documentation, both written and in a computer database
The ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with the community
Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment
Bachelors degree
This position is a community based position. Travel between the West Palm Beach and surrounding areas is required for this position. If you enjoy working in a changing environment this position is for you.
The chosen candidate will also be required to submit to a criminal background and a motor vehicle record check that must meet company standards.
