RN (Cardiac Catheterization Lab)
Circulate, provide moderate sedation, monitor complex procedures to include RHC, LHC, cardioversion, TEEs, permanent pacemaker insertions and AICD insertions. As well as, interventional procedures such as, but not limited to, coronary angioplasty, coronary stenting , rotablation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and left ventricular assist devices. Knowledge of equipment, medications, and supplies used in the Cardiac Cath Lab and an expert ability to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot this equipment. Demonstrate high level of knowledge and understanding of waveforms from the great vessels and all chambers of the heart including the ability to recognize and distinguish normal from abnormal, artifact from abnormality, and forewarn the physician of an impending life-threatening situation. Other duties include:
Patient appointment scheduling, Consult tracking documentation, patient pre-procedure instructions and post-procedure education. The RN may be required to cross-train to other Special Procedure areas (for example, PACU, lnterventional Radiology and GI/Endoscopy). Work Schedule:

Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. This position requires potentially long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, pushing and lifting up to approximately 35 lbs. Transferring patients and objects may be required. The incumbent may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
