Physician (Dermatologist)

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Privileging includes outpatient Dermatology clinics, inpatient consultation and treatment, and teaching. Evaluating, diagnosing, consulting and ordering diagnostic studies. Providing face-to-face and Tele-dermatology care/consultation. Performing surgical and non-surgical Dermatology procedures on the skin and to the particular skin lesions as appropriate on all ages who have presented with injuries or diseases of the disorders of the integumentary system (skin, mouth, external genitalia, hair and nails). Providing consultative services on patients referred from other sections of the hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics. Participating in educational programs for Dermatology and physician personnel as well as medical staff. Participating in quality assurance programs and chart reviews. Required to travel to the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) as needed. Required to supervise and countersign notes from Health Care Professionals to include Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Nurse Basic Requirements:
United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Board Certification in Dermatology Experience evaluating, diagnosing, consulting, and ordering diagnostic studies, providing face-to-face and tele-dermatology care, consultation. performing surgical and non-surgical dermatology procedures on the skin and to particular skin lesions as appropriate on all ages who have presented with injuries or diseases of the disorders of the integumentary system (skin, mouth, external genitalia, hair, and nails). Providing consultative series on patients referred from other hospitals or outpatient clinics. Providing emergency dermatology services / coverage as assigned. Standing, walking, lifting light loads, assisting patients with positioning and transfers. Must be able to use a computer to input orders, review reports, etc. Must be able to communicate directions and patient orders. See VA Handbook and Directive 5019

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
