JOB SUMMARY:
This is a Computer Systems Analyst - Distributed Computer Systems Analyst in the Department of Revenue s Child Support Program Region Administration Process.
The incumbent will assist in the management of the Department of Revenue local area network users, groups, printers, computers and file systems.
Analyze and coordinate resolution of hardware, software and network communication problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes.
Assist in planning and design of office network layouts producing wiring plans which detail placement of equipment and cabling details.
Evaluate the effectiveness of hardware, software and communication performance and research and recommend needed improvements.
Share discoveries and skills with fellow team members and develop training for customers when necessary.
Install and maintain an inventory of computers and electronic equipment.
Conduct surplus and recycling actions in accordance with current policy and procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND
Experience:

  • Experience communicating verbally and/or in writing, guiding end users through computer related inquiries.
  • Experience with supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
  • Two (2) years of work-related experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining, or troubleshooting computer hardware/software.
  • Two (2) years of work-related experience troubleshooting and handling Windows 10 in an enterprise environment.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • An Associate s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any computer science field can substitute for the required work experience.
