Vehicle Description Nicknamed Flatliner, this 1955 Ford Sunliner convertible was custom-built by RMR Dream Cars in Hudson, FL.
Finished in a Deep Impact Blue with a black cloth top, it is powered by a 5.
4-liter supercharged Shelby GT500 engine with an upgraded blower mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
During the build, a 1956 Ford grille, headlight and taillight buckets were added to the car.
The original 1955 side trim was maintained.
The convertible top irons have been reworked to provide a smoother look; the bumpers have been narrowed, smoothed and chrome-plated; and the rear wheel wells have been widened to allow for the custom 20x12 rear and 18x8 front wheels.
The car sits on a custom chassis that has a Fatman front clip, RideTech 4-link suspension and reinforced rails.
A Ridetech ShockWave system was also installed and includes integrated air spring and shock absorbers mated with Ridetech air management to control the suspension.
Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 6-piston caliper brakes up front and 4-piston out back.
The custom black leather-and-suede interior showcases a smoothed dash, Speed Hut gauges, custom steering wheel by Con2R, aftermarket stereo and climate control.
